Backgrounds are best over a Minima template. If yours isn't Minima, here's how to change it.

Install your new background by going to Layout > Add A Gadget > HTML/JavaCode box and copy & paste the code into the box, exactly as you see it.

Most Blogger background skins work best with the Minima template.

Always save your template before making major changes. To do this, go to Layout > Edit HTML and download a copy of your blog to your desktop (clicking the link makes this happen automatically, and it only takes seconds). Then if anything goes wrong, or you hate the result, you can upload your template again and it will be as if nothing happened!

Once you have saved your template, go to Choose New Template and click on one of the Minima templates. Save the template, then go ahead and have fun! Don't forget to change the colours of your fonts and links to suit your new background.
