Art & stuff by Susie Jefferson

Well, how fast the weekend comes around. It’s Easter almost… the clocks go forward in the UK (Sunday) so Spring is officially here.

Being in holiday mood, it’s time for lollies and ice cream…

Isn’t that the most delicious lolly you ever saw? I’d eat it just for the colour. (Does anyone remember strawberry Mivvi lollies, with the ice cream in the middle?)

And here’s one I did:

I’m totally in love with this Colour Splash effect, hope you are too… if you are, here is how to do it automatically in Photobucket.

Other graphics packages should achieve similar effects too.

I hope you have fun with this!

  33. Gosh, I have trouble keeping up with everybody! I missed this post, and LOVE it! Editing photos to look like these looks like LOTS of fun, and I will definitely have to try this sometime! ~tina

  34. Hi Again! I tried the colorsplash technique, but had trouble of course! (Surprise!)... I got to where I had a black dot... and went around the image as you said, but still got a distorted black and white.. and I did not see an option for what color I'd like.. So I'll tinker around with it more later, and I just took the easy route with the "blueprint", for today's post! (the barber chair). BTW, Everybody's liking my new blog!! I even have a few more followers!! I'm very excited! (0;

    Beansieleigh - I made a few mistakes at first. What you have to get your head around is that you are turning a colour pic to black&white, then erasing the b&w (with the black dot, which is actually an eraser) to expose the original colour. You aren't selecting a colour to paint on (which is where I went wrong). It takes a couple of tries to get used to, but it does work - promise!
